ExitLag is a paid subscription with monthly and longer plans; the longer the plan, the lower the price per month. Prices are shown in your local currency and vary by region. New accounts can test it with a short free trial, and a promo code at checkout lowers the price further. Here's how ExitLag pricing works and how to pay as little as possible.
How ExitLag pricing works
ExitLag sells time-based plans:
- Monthly — the highest price per month, the most flexible.
- Multi-month plans — a lower monthly cost in exchange for paying upfront.
All plans give access to the same core service: multipath routing, the full game library and the optimisation tools. You're paying for time, not features.
Why we don't print one price: ExitLag sets prices by region and currency, and runs frequent promotions. A single dollar figure would be wrong for most readers. Check the official pricing page to see the current price for your country.
Is ExitLag free?
No. There's no permanent free plan. What you can get for free is:
- A free trial for new accounts — enough to test ExitLag on your main game.
- Occasional promotions run by ExitLag itself or partners.
Avoid "ExitLag free" downloads, "cracked" versions and key generators. They can't connect to ExitLag's paid servers, so they don't lower ping, and they're one of the most common ways gamers get malware.
How to use the free trial properly
The trial is short, so plan it:
- Record a baseline first. Play 2–3 matches without ExitLag and note average ping, the worst spikes and any packet loss.
- Create an account on the official site, install the app and log in.
- Pick your game in the app and connect.
- Play the same server at the same time of day as your baseline.
- Try a second route if the first one doesn't help.
- Test at peak hours at least once. Evenings are when bad routes hurt most.
If ping, spikes or packet loss improve clearly, ExitLag is worth paying for. If nothing changes, your ISP's route is probably already good, and you've saved money.
How to pay less for ExitLag
1. Pick a longer plan — if the trial convinced you
The longer plans cost less per month. Only commit after the trial shows a real improvement on your games.
2. Use a promo code
Enter a code in the coupon field at checkout. Our ExitLag promo code page lists the codes we know about, and the current ones are shown below this article. Public codes can stop working without notice, so check that the discount appears in the total before paying.
3. Watch for seasonal sales
Like most software, ExitLag runs promotions around big shopping and gaming events. If you're not in a hurry, waiting for a sale and stacking it with a plan discount can bring the price down.
4. Compare with alternatives
If ExitLag's price in your region is high, compare similar services:
| Service | Pricing model | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| LagoFast | Subscription, time can be paused | Budget, casual play |
| GearUP | Monthly and yearly | Beginners, console |
| NoPing | Monthly and long-term | Large game library |
| Mudfish | Pay for traffic used | Light, occasional play |

Is ExitLag worth the price?
It's worth it if:
- you play competitive games on PC, and
- the trial clearly lowered your ping, spikes or packet loss.
It's not worth it if:
- your problem is Wi-Fi or your router, which free fixes solve — see how to reduce ping
- the trial showed no real difference.
